Does it bother anyone else that TH is already being assumed the next coach. That gives him a ton of time to deny and if he's going to have a special year at Houston he's going to want to squash any distractions. Does LSU/media blow it by being so specific about intentions on this?

Has LSU floated his name?

It's only fanshows and media staring the obvious. The guy is one of the top up and coming coaches. Everyone with ano opening is going to be after him

Like it was a secret we would pursue him.

We are "floating" his name, nobody else in the actual position of choosing the head coach

Names are gonna float around no matter what. Can't stop that.

I'm sure the fact that he is being sought is coming as a complete surprise to him.

Nope. Its what politicians do when they want to scare off competition

A school might not fire its coach now, if they think possibly Herman might be locking in on LSU? So less offers for him down the road.

Plus, some schools may have to wait to see how their bowls play out. Herman could be signed by then

His name is floated here just like any other big school would do. Probably not by the school but the social media fans. Who gives a shite at this point. Possibly the greatest running back in school history will be gone after this year.

If I were Houston, I'd give him a big pay raise in exchange for a poison pill buyout. Right now.

Every program looking for a coach will be linked to him. That's just how it goes with every bright young coach.

Not really sure LSU could keep it a secret.

any legit program that fires a coach mid season is going to have local media mentioning hiring Tom Herman

Not sure about that. Jimbo was leaked early and he was the guy. And with this administration anything is possible. They haven't done anything right yet.

Ok, so go ahead and get every sports fan in the nation to shut their face on the top news story in sports for this week, Let's go beat up ESPN for saying stuff we don't want them to.

I'm not talking about fans, Im talking about the reports that LSU has already contacted his agent. I know what you guys are saying but if he starts getting hammered day in and day out about the LSU job does it get to the point where he makes a hard pass to get people to shut up about it or to convince his guys he is staying
