terrapinmd.....son

I quote the original opening of "The Outer Limits"

"You are about to experience a great adventure.
You are about to experience the awe and mystery which reaches from the inner mind to.........the OUTER LIMITS"

And with any luck, it will be overcast in the fourth quarter and the lights will come on -

I quote P.A. announcer Dan Borne in the fourth quarter at the 2008 LSU-Bama game - which started at 5:00 I believe "Ladies and Gentlemen, the sun has found its place in the western sky, which means....it's now SATURDAY NIGHT IN DEATH VALLEY!"

Come back next week and post about your experience. Some people think the atmosphere is overhyped, but I don't think so.

I was actually going to start a similar thread. Four friends and I are coming in for the weekend from Oregon, Minnesota and Maine. We were hoping for a night game, but it sounds like it will still be a great time. Thanks for all of the suggestions.

You picked a bad game to go to... a DAY game. Tailgating sucks for day games, though it IS Florida so it may not be that bad.

I created a Walking map of LSU on Gameday

Cool. Though I don't think it will be "bad" for visitors. (as long as they get here EEEEAAAARRRLLLYYYY) It will be their first visit! Let's show them what an autumn Saturday in TigerTown is all about!
PLUS, they can still tailgate AFTER the game too!!

You may want to consider going to the PMAC (basketball arena) Fri. night, the LSU band will be putting on a wonderful show called TigerRama. Its one of the best college bands in the country and our music dept. is highly regarded nationally

In the event you don't care to wait in a line to eat for over an hour... Visit "Little Village" on 3rd street. Stuffed Filet is tops! You'll have a hard time Friday night getting in at Mike Anderson's, Walk-On's or Parrin's. DO NOT go to Boutin's. YUK!!! Chimes is great for beer and atmosphere. Visit Mike the Tiger's cage. Come see us at our tailgate under the right ramp on the PMAC. GEAUX TIGERS!!! (WEAR GOLD!!!)

Why anyone would go to Walk-Ons over Chimes is beyond me.
