Looking for some honest opinions about a few sections in Tiger Stadium to get the feel for where I want to sit this season. If anyone sits in the following sections and has any tips, pros and cons, or thoughts on the general "feel" of the section, please let me know.
Right now I'm looking at the following sections:
211, 212, 423, 424, WBL1

I can tell you that 211 and 212 are really good seats. You'll be on the student section side of the stadium, and the 200 sections allow you to walk around the entire north endzone. You'd be really close to the band.
I don't know where the other sections are. Never even heard of them.

Mine are in 213. I like them. Get to see all visiting teams. Don't hear TGBFTL well. I have not tried to move.

Find it hard to believe there are anything other than singles in WBL1, 424 or 423 at this point of relocation.

I have two seats in 213 and two seats in 241 (directly above 212). Love theses areas. I love that it's close to the band, there's no upper level over your head, and you have a perfect view of all the new sections/lights/scoreboards.

I'm in 216, just seven seats over from the golden girls. I love that section. I would say go with 211 or 212.

I'm fixing to start donating and from the sounds of it I have quite the hill to climb to get to a respectable number on the waiting list.

One question I do have that I'm not completely sure about though, I see people reference donating $100 a year. Is there a reason for that? Is the number of points you get for donating $100 the same as donating say, $200?

Very steep hill. Donate 5k for a 2 or 3 years and you can get in.

423 or 424 are great as long as you are from row 20 down to row one. They are directly next to the West side with a great view. They also have the nicety of having the shade earliest in the stadium from the 600 level seats.

There are always plenty of tickets available outside the stadium on game day and in the 400 level (Old South Endzone Upper Deck) That's where the largest concentration of real LSU diehards sit too.
I dumped my season tickets many years ago and don't miss them at all. (Not paying hundreds of dollars to watch LSU play Chattanooga or Southern Illinois Polytechnic Institute, which is exactly what yall are doing when you add all the fees and donations)
Don't get all the obsession with Season Tickets from so many of you. Tickets are so cheap and so many are available on game day for way under Face. Without the ST's, I can now attend the games I really want to attend and not hassle with having to sell an unused ticket.
Believe me, I'm no longer interested in going to every game as all the rabid Pump Lumps are.
"Been There-Done That" since the early 70's. The thrill is definitely not there any longer. (Traffic, Parking, Atmosphere Decline and irritating Piped-In Music have all but killed my interest)
More power to those of you that feel the need to throw all of your hard earned money away just to proclaim to everybody that you're a Season Ticket holder.

I've been an "active" donor since my freshman year in 2012 - was a member of the collegiate TAF and Future Alumni Association. Both had small fees that went towards future priority points for tickets. Since graduating last year, I've made about $500 in donations to the Alumni Association and that's put me right about the half-way point on the total priority point scale. I'll get to choose my ticket(s) tomorrow at noon.

Lots of singles in the lower bowl, but that's really all I'm looking for to get my foot in the ticket door.

I'm in 239 in north section and I like them, will never move.
TAF fees are still reasonable .
I believe some of the 400's TAF fees might be more than what I pay. I would stay home before sitting in those upper decks.

I sit in 211, good seats. Only problem is daytime games, sun in your face. Otherwise, everyone has pretty much given you info on the benefits of the NEZ sections. To the guy who hijacked your thread to down being a season ticket holder, it's my hard earned money to spend. I like sitting by the same people year in and year out. They are friends I only see during football season. To each his own, but don't down us just because of what we choose to do with our money. Geaux Tigers!

1) Being a season ticket holder has always been a dream of mine since my first game in Tiger Stadium in 2005. To me, it's always served as a symbol of being "invested" in the program.
2) One of the major reasons, in my opinion, for the decline in atmosphere is the average age of many ticket holders these days. Many of the older fans, who have had tickets "since the early 70s", consider themselves entitled to a noise-free section with people who don't stand up and cheer during the game. I can't tell you how many times I've encountered this when not sitting in the student section. Every time you try to emulate the atmosphere of old, you're usually getting fussed at by the old geezers sitting all around you who would rather complain about things than join in or give up their tickets to people who would actually enjoy them.
3) Not that I have to explain myself to anyone, I'll flatter you... I've saved my hard-earned money over the years, I'm single, and I have no children. Football is my "thing" just like hunting and fishing is for so many others. I think I'm entitled to spend money on the thing I enjoy most.
4) Instead of griping and complaining about every little thing surround football games, why not embrace it? This is the new norm. Why can't some people just enjoy the camaraderie of football Saturdays in Baton Rouge?
Cheers and Geaux Tigers!
