First time in Tuscaloosa

What should I expect from Tuscaloosa this weekend? It’s just me and the wife headed into that place lol How are bama fans? Are they as annoying and hardcore in Tuscaloosa as they seem? We will be attending the lsu alumni tailgate so at least we will have some folks to hang out with!!

I’ve never really had any problems with any Bama fans. Every fan base has their share of goofballs but the ones I’ve met have always been really cool and respectful.
I agree with the earlier poster about Florida fans. They’re awful.

They (or at least the bulk of the older fans) are condescendingly magnanimous on the whole. I certainly can't say that isn't a justified attitude, all things considered.
The campus is beautiful. So is the stadium. They are both soulless and lack any personality whatsoever.
I've only been twice, 2011 and 2019. I'm batting 1.000 and will probably never go again.

Generally fine - a few may get into your face/space, but most of them know they are just better than us (as a football team, and they assume, in any other way as well). If you starting giving any of them grief, they will give it back.
Try not to smirk at their arrogance when you then walk through the rows of tents selling merch, which is really the feel of a sports related flea market on the road towards the stadium.
All in all - usually a good trip. Even better when the Tigers show up and/or win.

I’ve had a great time at Bama in 2007, 2011 but it’s probably because we won. The fans were fine and very welcoming. Just hate that you’re going to watch us get crucified.

I'd imagine a more toned down environment since LSU isn't a threat, but a pitiful shell of a former proud program.
Even during much bigger games, I've never encountered anything out of the ordinary from the typical SEC fan: you respect them, they'll usually respect you. Tuscaloosa has a nice setup in terms of proximity between the Strip, the main bar and restaurant area on campus, and the stadium. Always appreciated that.

The only time Bama fans were bad was 1/9. Every time in Tuscaloosa has been fine. They hate losing 1000x more than they like winning so it should be a good trip for you.
Just stay away from this guy.

They'll be the most enjoyable bama fans you ever meet and nothing like the assholes that wear bama jerseys to Louisiana sports bars. Went when I was in college the year we intercepted it and didn't get the call...was more than welcomes before, during and after the game everywhere we went...you'll have a good time....except during the game..that's going to be miserable

They feel sorry for us right now, seriously they will never admit this on here, but most bama alum and fans i know, like it better when we are really good, (as long as they win 3 out 4 or better and Like LSU way more than Auburn.

The Bama fans ON campus on Gameday and at the game are NOT the dipshits you see on Social Media and encounter randomly at gas stations and in Gulf Shores.
They're educated and arrogant about football but not assholes. And not as trashy as our Fans are.
