If you can tolerate the idiots who call the show, then listening Finebaum should be no problem. I've tried several times and never got past the second caller.

First off, watch the smirk on his face every time one of these hillbillys call in. He knows they're morons and he knows(just like jerry springer) that it gets ratings. He is obviously biased and makes no bones about it. I always find it funny though when Alabama fans call in and complain that Bama just doesn't get a fair shake. Especially after a loss. If that team ever has a slide, that state is going to burn.

Probably going to get torn up for this, but I never liked him until the Iron Bowl this year. I watched the simulcast on the SEC Network and was actually into it. It was probably more the people who were on there with him and getting away from the normal tv crew, but I honestly preferred it to the normal broadcast that was on ESPN.

You aren't even hitting the biggest issue with his show. When he was doing just radio on the Paul Finebaum show it was a given the Bama and part time Auburn homer-ism on his show. If you listened to the show you knew what to expect so when you actually heard how bias he actually was it didn't surprise anyone. But on a National show like ESPN you are to expect professional journalism and the bias taken out of the conversations as much as possible. Unfortunately you can't get professional journalism out of Finebaum and for that hopefully ESPN replaces him sooner than later.

To me the biggest issue is that his show, 5 days a wk, 4 hrs a day, shown nation wide, has become a recruiting tool for Alabama. Intentionally on his part. I'm not going to repeat all the bama BS he sprouts, we all know it. But consider when an impressionable 17-18 yr old highschool player continuously hears bama this, bama that, saban is the greatest of all time, that can't help but make an impression on recruiting. He may troll a lot, but that part of his agenda is definitely out there, nation wide now. In Oct this past season I heard him say, direct quote: "the 3 national championships that Alabama won were the 3 greatest days in my life". And this is the national spokesman for the SECN.

Could be. But then as some of the toothless legions of callers get aired, with all their yahoos and ignorance, could be some recruits might cringe at the idea of representing such a hoarde of miscreants, and take their talents elsewhere. At least we can hope. Finebaum is such a cold-blooded mercenary for pandering to such lowlife types.
