our WRs sucked arse bigtime!!! I thought it was one of JL's best games throwing the football and our WRs either dropped them or didn't finish the route. I thought we looked good when JJ came in and ran the ball this will give opposing teams defenses more to prepare for. Kentucky offense is awful but our defense can make a team look like crap.

+1 on the whole post. But the WRs appear to be THE weakness of the team. And a pretty serious one at that. Their fundamentals are poor, and they're so inconsistent that it feels like they can't be counted on to make plays when we need them.

The WRs didn't help, but I think we're exaggerating this. I'm sure that's an understatement.

RR2 will step up in big games. OBj has been phenomenal. RS10 is inconsistent, but I think he'll finish the year quite strong. Beyond that, we need some guys to step up. I won't be the least bit shocked to see Jarvis Landry start stepping up as the year progresses, but I'd also like to see Wright and Boone do more.

It's amazing how much better JL looked on TV than on the field in person. I thought he was WAY off from the field, but he looked quite solid on TV

True but you still have to account for a very early start time compared to all their other game which have been played at night. I'm actually kinda glad they played an earlier game before they have to play a 2:30 game against a quality opponent.

I just watched the replay and I agree. Amazing thing to me is that we have the ability to rotate RBs until we find the "hot" back. This was Blue's game. Lee had a couple of dangerous floaters and a couple of sailers - but he looked good. JJ does bring a serious running threat. I would have liked to have seen a little more of him. Maybe throw a couple. He had a really good spring throwing.

I didn't think that JL was great but yes the receivers were awful and it did not help that they were always passing in predictable situations. I think if the receivers had turned some of those drops into catches you would have seen a stat line for JL that would fall in line with the other games he has played this year.

Me too, I don't know why he thought the ball was thrown short maybe he lost it in the sun?? If he doesn't pull up short the ball hits him in stride for 6!

While our receivers dropped at least 6 passes, a lot of the passes were not right on the mark...a little high. Granted they had their hands on the ball but they weren't perfect passes.

i think miles was breaking him in to the speed of the game and possibly, in not probably, setting up a future opponent to think when JJ is in all he does is run. perriloux was like that and when he passed, the opponent was not playing for it. they didn't let him pass often enough imo.
