That field is horrible and any speed advantage we were going to have will be negated by that field.

apparently, the fields where LSU have been practicing for the bowl game also suck, so we'll be prepared.

also, the SEC speed thing is so played out. PSU has plenty of team. Wisconsin had more than enough to hang with Miami. By reputation, no team has more speed than the U.

In general, I want football to be played on natural grass. But if you're treating a facility as multiple use, then you simply must go with field turf or some other artificial surface that can stand up to that kind of abuse. That field was a disaster last night.

If it rains all Thursday night, as is forecasted, that field will be practically unplayable for our game.

I just looked at the chance of rain for the game on TWC and it's at 60%.

You can re-sod the middle of a field and have it in halfway decent shape quickly ONLY if you use LONG rolls of turf. I saw small squares of turf on the ground at the Citrus Bowl. (Just like what is used for new lawns) That takes too long to root properly and thicken up. With the long rolls, there are fewer seams and the middle of the field is playable right away. Have no idea why they used squares of sod, especially considering that these two Bowl games were coming up. Doesn't make any sense. ......
