Excited most about Feduccia's. Having someone take ownership of that opening is a must with Coomes coming off surgery

The Pirate King posted earlier that Stortz suffered a shoulder injury and would be out for an extended period.

I wonder if this means he will be out completely or if it will just keep him off the mound.

From The Advocate:

To highlight the offense, junior newcomer Hunter Feduccia had a triple and a double for the Gold team. Back on the field for the first time since the 2016 season, Bryce Jordan played first base for the Tigers and knocked a double to left-center. Freshman infielder Hal Hughes ripped a two-run double for the Purple team, and catcher Braden Doughty also had a double.

“Our infield defense was a little shaky all day today, even before the game, but it’s going to tighten up,” Mainieri explained. “I think it’s going to end up being the strength of our team. It will get better, and so will our defense behind the plate. It was nice to see Hunter Feduccia get a couple of knocks like he did all summer and last year at LSU-Eunice. I think he, (Mason) Doolittle and Braden Doughty have been real bright sports this fall. I think Hal Hughes has been a real bright spot as well. He had a two run double off of Hess, and he’s been making all of the plays in the field.”

Surprising Doughty did good... he was supposedly recruited as a bullpen catcher just to get his brother, Cade Doughty, to commit
