Let the DE crash. The ball will be out of Fournette's hands by the time he gets there

And you don't necessarily have to block it the same way

And even if the flea flicker can't be executed, this should be money too. Just gotta decoy Jennings as a WR on a few plays to set it up

Or here's a wrinkle. See if you can sneak Jennings into the game as a slot receiver lined up tight.

Harris to Fournette Lead toss, tossed back to Jennings on the reverse, Malachi standing in the endzone all alone for a pretty Jennings deep ball.

(Kinda like the deangelo Peterson reverse but it's Jennings, and he's gonna throw it)

hmm the rb gets the ball quicker...tucks away the ball quicker...and further away from the LOS...based on all those you don't know what the frick you're talking about

If you think the back gets to the line just as fast as a handoff, you clearly haven't been watching us run it the past several years.

My grandson has been lobbying for a double reverse throwback hook and lateral for years. He claims that it always works out in his yard

are you saying getting to the line sooner means you are hitting the hole harder?

if the running back makes any cuts after a handoff they have little or no momentum...with the quick toss the rb can make that cut sooner....means he can hit the LOS harder

I've never seen it as effective as it was last game. It looked natural. It throws teams off. It makes the hb pass almost inevitable.

What is this play action pass you guys speak of? I watch a lot of LSU football, I think I've seen this "play action pass" thingy like once. We passed it to a tight end who ended his career with 1 career reception.

Id say half (though half of 10-12 is not many) of our passes are play action out of the I formation.

i'm good with it, and have been ever since the Oregon game. It seems like it might give the back a little wider area to choose his path, whereas the hand-off off-tackle is a little more specific to where the back will run. If the defense is able to gum up the intended point of attack (say, between the RT and RG), but opens up between the C and RG, the back has more chance to find the open hole.

I absolutely loved it when we went uptempo vs Oregon with that play, it was like a boxer working his opponent over with body blows in a corner.

It does seem like a Les Miles LSU signature play, much like USC had "student body right" etc. Toss dive to a 230 lb back up the gut= LSU ball
