I used to hate this play, and I've seen a lot of negativity towards it. It worked really well against MSST, though, and I like that the RB has the option to take it up the middle or around the edge. If it was a handoff, that option wouldn't exist. I'm beginning to love it.

I like it. I just don't like it 10 times a game.

I definitely agree with that.

It's a good play when you have a back with great vision (i.e. j. hill, ridley, fournette) he has multiple options to attack the defense. I do think they might run it a little too much and it gets a bad rap because people on this sight only see the negative plays. Tom Luginbill on ESPN Film Room did a great job of breaking it down last night on ESPNU.

I like it a lot. Mett tossing to Jeremy Hill is still my desktop background image.

It's impossible for the back to hit the hole as hard as can on a handoff. For that reason I'm out

Love it when it works; hate it when it doesn't

It boggles my mind why we don't have a play-action pass off it though......

It's ok but three times in the same series is a little fricking. Annoying when paying $6,000 a year for tickets

That's because it is a play designed to allow the running back to make a read a lot like a stretch play.

I like it more and more because the morons that always bitch about everything seem to REALLY hate it.

I wanna see them fake it at the goal line and throw it up to Desean or Dupre

That's not true.

Happens all the time with a handoff as well

It's actually a toss power. A dive is base blocking. Somebody pulls on this play and it's designed to give the pull man time to lead up and the RB to hit the crease perfectly. When executed correctly it's a given 5 yards or more.

Really? That is what boggles your mind? Several reasons. One is because it is risky. You would have to toss the ball to LF. The QB would have to run behind LF. LF would then have to toss the ball back to the QB. See how much could go wrong? That is why. It would be more of a trick play than a simple play-action.

I feel like we scored 2 TDs off of it last week.

Never heard of it. Is it from the secret playbook that we always hold back so that other teams don't get to see it on film?
