Jim Bowie, LSU first baseman in the mid-80s, was a left handed hitter that used to regularly dent cars in the Tiger Stadium parking lot.

Farthest I ever saw hit in the old box. I was standing near Nicholson in right field 1998 and a USL player hit one that one hopped off the side of the athletic building. Cleared Nicholson with ease. I also have a HR ball that I found by Brandon Larson that was on the opposite side to the dorms to left center.

some people have a hard time differentiating between old and new box.

Brian Johnson maybe...

Lyle Mouton hit the furthest I've ever seen and I saw the Wilkerson homer also. It went over the lights in left and landed past the first building in married student housing.

Speaking of Laporta, I'm still amazed this guy didn't make it in the bigs for too long.

Wilkerson hit a foul ball that landed on Nicholson and ended up in the Athletic building parking lot.
Not a second hand account, either. I witnessed it.

I was sitting in the grandstand, facing down the left foul line when he hit it. I swear, no one ever saw the damn thing start coming down. Legend has it, the ball broke a window in the apartments behind left field.

I know you said non tigers, but many have mentioned LSU players. Wasn't there a story about Albert Bell hitting one into the parking lot at Bernie Moore.

I heard he hit one that landed on a freight car on the train one night and it went all the way to Kansas City...

Harry Berrios landed a missile on the apartment roof.

So it sliced to the left after crossing the foul pole in foul territory?

The one that Furniss hit over the intimidator. Was sitting down the right field line.

“…even tiger stadium were often hit on the bounce” – sounds nice, but I seriously doubt that Tiger Stadium ever had a bounce hit.
