My 10 year daughter has her fall dance recital this Saturday from 11-12pm. My wife (no pics) just told me that she had misread the times and that was a younger age group going at 11

My kids performance is actually from 3-4pm. Kid has to be there at 2:15 and the venue is a 30 minute drive.

WWYD?

I’m basically out of commission from 1:45-4:30. Wtf.

Leave your wife. You don’t need that kind of negativity

Or you could not say anything about the game and just disappear before. Reappear after the game is over. It’s better to ask for forgiveness than permission.

Do not wear lsu gear or anything purple or gold either and have your wife run interference for people who know you are a tiger fan or even a football fan.

"Hes doesn't know score and is recording game"

My work causes me to miss a lot of games and this is a common process.

I question whether you are truly an LSU football faithful. Every LSU football fan worth there salt know you must have a prenuptial agreement for situations like this. Very disappointing sir!

Realistically that won’t work. You will overhear someone or someone will accidentally blabber it to you. Only way I can do that is if I’m in a bob public place going immediately home with no interaction

You can’t watch on your phone?

Pretty sure CBS sports has an app to watch game. Although you will have to do so on mute.

Boom you get to see game and be a good father. Win-Win

......go to your daughters recital. Record the game for viewing later.

Trust me, 15 years from now you'll realize you did the right thing.

It is your kid; so like others have said, you obviously have to go and you already knew you would. While I hate watching games I know that have already been played, doing the recorded thing isn't too bad. Used to have to do it all the time.

One thing I would most definitely do, though, is find a different dancing school for my daughter next year. I mean, who the hell puts a recital during the middle of the day on a Fall Saturday?? That is crazy.

Have you thought about just getting someone who looks a lot like you to stand in? I'm sure the car ride could get awkward, but you only need this for a few hours. Don't overthink this, man.
