That is life...but it's comical yet heart-breaking to realize that a missed field goal by Ok. St and a last minute breakdown against Bama in 2012 more than likely cost LSU 2 National Championships. That is reality. Despite what Peej and others say, LSU wipes the floor with Ok. St in 2011 if they meet......and had LSU caught one single break during the last minute in 2012...they gone on to win the West, likely the SEC, and then destroy an overrated Notre Dame just like Bama did. It's literally that damn close to the roles being reversed. Why people get scared of Bama I don't get. LSU has lost a few with inferior teams....they are superior this year...and here's to the best team winning Saturday night.

I don't think it's unreasonable to expect LSU to win. Are we going to blow them out? Not likely. But objectively speaking we're probably the better team. We have the best offense and the best defense that they've seen all year and they already have a loss. They had some trouble with Arkansas and Tenn and neither of those teams are world beaters.

I'd say that Bama is very close in quality to Florida as an overall team. Which means they're good but not as good as LSU. That game was much closer becuase special teams gifted them 2 touchdowns.

as long as I've been alive there has been fans that think we're gonna win each game and there have been fans that think we're gonna lose each game (the tough ones). some people are optimistic and some are pessimistic.

I see no "false bravado" in that; none at all. we have a damn good team and we have just a good a chance of winning this game as bama does.

I'm one of those optimists. I'm thinking we might have a teeny bit of a better chance than they do. My glass is half full

This is probably the worst Alabama team since Nick Saban has been at Bama....possibly excluding 2007.

How much have you seen of Bama this year?

Honestly, couldn't the same be said about what lsu will see in Alabama?

To play devils advocate here, couldn't the same be said about Mississippi State and Syracuse?

I don't understand these threads. Why are certain fans always so concerned about fans being over confident?

No. You probably don't have the best offense we've seen, and your defense is comparable to Florida's.

Who has the best offense you've seen?

I'm not going to get into a pissing match about Florida, we'l just have to disagree there

Mississippi State maybe, but only because we took our foot off the gas too early when leading 21-6 in the fourth quarter. Syracuse? Come on. We had control of that game.

Also, we don't expect to have three touchdowns called back in this game like we did vs. MSU and Syracuse.

Hard to say. MSU, Florida and WKU are all pretty good.

You believe any of those have more talent on offense than Alabama? Maybe you do maybe you don't. Not going to argue about your opinion, but I'm interested in hearing your opinion

What a statement. I am just pointing our that this will be a tough game. It will take a great effort to win and it won't be easy for LSU or Alabama.

I just don't know who will win. LSU has an excellent chance to win and some posters make a good point about things LSU has this year that they don't have in the past. The offense is better. I think the defense is not as good as in the past. LSU has let two games in the last three years slip away that they should have won.

I respect the ability of Alabama. I don't like them, but I respect them. I think if LSU can win, it will have a positive effect in turning this series around. As lone as LSU has one more point when the final clock hits 0:00 I will be ecstatic.

I've seen it posted throughout the day but this is the first time I've been able to watch it. That's a good LesMiles video. Got me pretty effing jacked for a Monday. We're gonna steamroll those gumps.

Anyone else have an overwhelming positive feeling about this game?

Yes. I think LSU will dominate every facet of this ball game.

Why is everybody so impressed with Alabama

quote:

Well we are twice the team this year, they aren't as good as they were last year, and we're gonna slap our dicks on their faces Saturday night. Amari Cooper isn't walking through that door Saturday night...we finna eat.

This Bama team is not as good as their recent ones, and they will have no answer for Leonard Fournette, and our offensive line.

I left out the most extreme blowout predictions in each thread.

I could keep linking posts, but I don't want to spend any more time with it.

Nobody said anything about talent. The question was best offense. Plenty of talented teams don't perform to their talent level. MSU, UF and WKU are all performing well offensively. Only UF has gone over 20 against us, and that was with a PR TD and an easy TD after a muffed punt inside our own 10.
