You gonna make the scrimmage tomorrow? I am going to try to get away from the office and catch some it.

I counted ER's wrong, Newman gave 3, not 2.

It would be a perfect day for it. But I'm trying to get things done around the house. Maybe I'll take a break.

its nothing. Newman isn't going to use the fall to earn a spot. Some pitchers need to focus on results others are just looking at mechanics and getting back into it. Did Newman even have a summer team?

Smith can play SS, 2B, 3B, even LF if you really wanted too. He should stay on the INF just because he is a natural there. Really like him as a player got to see him play a couple times at Catholic

Accidentally down voted. Josh can play anywhere in the infield.

Pitching always dominates early, every level of baseball. Our vets have proven they can hit when it counts & Coach AC has proven he can coach up the new guys. Lots of talent out there, should be a great season .

This guy seems like a different level freshman. Prospect League all-star before even starting college. He just looks like a baseball player. Smooth as silk in the field. Got the contact, the gap power, and the speed. I don't see any way he doesn't start in the infield. If so, I wonder how the positions will be sorted out. I would imagine Kramer and Freeman would stay in the middle after last season and Smith would just be plugged in at third but he is definitely a true shortstop.

Freeman can still play 3B like he started out last year. Smith at 2B.

Looks like it will be a dogfight to get playing time at 3rd. I'd imagine 2nd and SS are locked up. And unless Deichmann is DH, I'd imagine he's safe at 1st.
