Could Cabrera be our best every day player next year?
It's very possible. We don't have a big scary bat returning. Cabrera could be that guy this season.
I'm a little surprised that Duplantis is shifting over to right. I guess his arm has healed up fully. I would think Cabrera would have the stronger OF arm.

I talked to one of Duplantis' family Sunday and he told me his arm is 100% and that he is looking forward to being back in RF this season.

I'll jump in with some thoughts in this thread.
Really impressed by Fontenot. Scoreboard gun had him at the same velo as Hess early in the week. He was up to 93. Threw a lot of strikes with some significant run. That's where the Ott comp makes sense. I think it's pretty obvious Mainieri is intrigued by him.
On the RF spot, Maineiri has always prioritized right field defense at the Box because of the sun. He loved Laird out there, and Laird didn't have great arm strength. He obviously trusts Duplantis to play that sun field.

Storz is a big guy and was smokin' balls on Sunday (in spite of bone spur). Hopefully he returns soon and can add some needed power to the line-up.

Oh I know. Not worried about him at all. Was just wondering cause it didn't seem like I had seen him in the hit column

That question no longer needs to be asked, as the NCAA baseball postseason format will include seeding the Top 16 teams and regional hosts in the field of 64 as opposed to just the Top 8 teams that we’re accustomed to, a measure that was approved this past week by the Division I Baseball Committee and subsequently by the NCAA Championship Oversight Committee.

Cabrera looked great on the mound today. Three up, three down with a breaking ball that falls off the shelf.

It’s his changeup that I saw that was fooling guys most. From the left side, it’s dirty.

Also, Doolittle has great size for a catcher. He hit a real bomb off Todd Peterson.

Should be another good year.

Squints in right field seems like a natural fit
