Did I read correct - Romero with a stolen base? Must have gotten crossed up on signals!

Romero's steal was on the back end of a double steal against Frederick.

Woley has played 2nd several times this fall but Bryce has manned it most of the time.

That gold lineup is how I imagine they'll go out there in February. Best offense/defense combo.

I would prefer Smith at 3rd over Slaughter at this point. There's still a lot of time before those decision have to be made. More pressing is the decision on the 35 man roster that has to be made soon. Right now, there are 36 players.

Who do you think gets the axe? or can PM wait for the usual attrition during the Fall/Spring break?

Duplantis
Freeman
Robertson
Deichmann

That's a treacherous top 4

Thought Slaughter was 2-2 with a single to LF and a single to RF?

Smith has looked the better on defense as well as having a higher BA and OB% than Slaughter thus far.

Is Coomes that good of a catcher? I know he has been stroking the ball well, but he has thrown out a few runners as well...

Deichmann has gone hitless in 6 of the 11 scrimmages this fall. Scrimmages are 4-5 innings this time of year so batters usually get 2 or 3 AB per scrimmage.

I have my opinion but I prefer to keep that to myself. There's always the possibility of the injury bug biting someone between now and December, taking that decision away. At least they are only one over the limit this year.

I attended yesterday's practice, and watched Coomes throw out Robertson and Freeman back to back in the first inning. He seems to be getting more comfortable catching each day. I think he's impressing the coaches, considering he didn't catch a single game last year, playing exclusively at 3rd base at LSUE.
