First off, I'm a LSU homer who bleeds purple & Gold...
However, this is a very average team with some very outstanding athletes. The chemistry and coaching just doesn't seem to be there. I hope I'm wrong but I predict a season record of 7-5 at best. Judging each team on the schedule right now, it's hard to find more than 5 more wins. All of the remaining SEC games will be a struggle. Just my opinion.

But its better than what we've fielded in recent years so I'll take it!

I would say this would be an absolute worst case scenario. After the wisky game, yea things looked bleak. But the team has improved and DE may just be the catalyst this team needs to catch fire.

Man, I think we look good. The offense we are running is a lot better. Defense is playing better, as is special teams. We can definitely win every game on our schedule if we keep this up.

Who cares. We get to watch LSU football this Saturday. That's all that's on my mind when it comes to this team.

they sure will. our saving grace will be our defense.

if our offense can just score (second half esp), we are going to be better than average.

I think we finish the season 9-3 thanks to the abortion called the Wisconsin game. I had hoped for an SEC title but it seems far away right now.

This guy gets it, thank you! Let's take one game at a time. Let's see the progression at Auburn

FWIW, what this team does have is talent across the board and with that alone anything can happen!

I agree completely. I don't know how anyone could have watched LSU win 9 games the last few years, watch this team, and say to themselves they look two losses worse. This defense is nasty and the offense is opportunistic and actually improving week to week, we haven't had that combination in a long time.

Doesn't seem like you're much of a homer.

Can you lay out who you think we lose to?

Yeah, I don't expect Fournette to fumble multiple times in one game and I certainly hope we don't keep getting injuries on the o-line.

I'd like to see any team put more points on the board when you lose two tackles in one game.

exactly. maybe this will be a reverse of last year. maybe not. regardless, we wait all year for football and then most of the fans just seem to be miserable unless it's a banner year. remember when football was fun?

Yeah, they look like shite. We don't, though. Things change. Teams change.

The way I see it, it's easier to forgive a loss in early September than one in late November.

I truly wish I had your enthusiasm.

Our defense has improved week to week though. I think Aranda finally is getting comfortable. Key is in beast mode.

I'm not ready to call it 7-5, but I see the Florida, Ole Miss, Alabama and Arkansas games being very competitive.

And if we're not careful Missouri could be close; I expect A&M to take their typical late season dive but if that changes, look out.

I think we are competitive but I just don't see us blowing out any of our SEC competition, so 7-5 isn't out of the realm of possibility...
