This place used to be full with people tailgating and families playing ball, enjoying themselves before the game. Those same people will be staying home or parking in the Gonzales lot a/k/a the white corral that takes over an hour just to get out of the damn thing not counting the 30 minute walk to and from the stadium.

We were playing Chattanooga I think had the most to do with it.

Purely rediculous. Not to mention at 530 when the lot was still empty lsu said frick it and started letting people park for free

That is ridiculous. They easily make their money in other spots around campus. I don't park here, but hope something is done about the cost.

When you have 100,000 seat stadium on a college campus, you gonna have hassle.
Our choice seems to be to either flow with the hassle or stay home.

A large screen in an AC den is not bad at all. Cheaper, less time, less hassle.

I was one of them. I have the money, but am older and not as tolerant of the hassles as I once was.

The money grab has put a damper on the tailgating, especially for the people who used to tailgate and not go to the game, of which they were many. This is just fine with the powers that be.

If you are not going to the game and tailgating you are taking a parking spot from someone that is and adding to the traffic problem that is keeping fans from going.
I would guess part of the above is why LSU decided to take away the free parking. The problem however that you are also fricking over the people that are trying to go to the game.
