The people you call crybabies probably view themselves as involved LSU supporters expressing legitimate concerns.

Most are not legitimate concerns. Just stop putting so much stock into 18 - 23 year old kids that stay or leave or run the wrong way or don't block, catch, or throw. Or whether a coach makes a good or bad decision. Some people have let LSU become their identity and however LSU does is whether or not they are ok. Some just need to question why they give so much power to the unpredictable. Truth hurts and the truth is most aren't supporters, they literally have no life at all.

The whole point of this message board is to discuss LSU sports. Some people like to vent, some people like to give insight to how they viewed a game, others just try and make witty comments.

You are going to get a mix of everything. As a viewer of the board, just don't comment on threads that you can tell are obviously irrational. If no one comments the thread will eventually fall of the first page and into oblivion.

Somehow people that love LSU sports and express their concerns about those sports have no life but your on The Rant talking about those people and how they express themselves on The Rant! Awesome

You made very valid statements. As someone who is known as a crybaby on here, I would just like to point out that having a disagreement with a coaching decision, or a part of any program, does not automatically mean that the poster wants that coach fired, or that the program is collapsing.

I'm pretty sure you have expressed the want for Miles to go. Either way, it goes both ways, just cus I defend a player or coach I'm a sunshine pumper and have settled for mediocrity. There are people on both extremes, majority of us are in the middle. I don't think we go undefeated or even win the west next year, but we aren't going 7-5 either.

We are still a top 3 program in the sec. Rt there with the bama schools.

One day you will get it kid. The extreme rants are the audience. That's why I said most. Not all, most. If you don't see the problem when reading these, then you are the problem.

in the modern world, any body who feels a twinge of unhappiness can promptly go to the Tiger Rant and whine until they get it out of their systems.

This is a forum for Tiger fans to express their thoughts and opinions with individuals that share the same passion not all are going to be positive or negative,

quote:

Recently, a lot of crybabies can't help but express their discontent over the facts:

Well if they are "fact" maybe they have a justifiable reason to express discontent.

quote:

1) that our QB who played in the recent bowl game simply didn't instill confidence, which means, to them, that we will suck next year;

Anyone who watched the Jennings game against Iowa should have come away with some concern over his performance. But good thing for LSU he will have an entire spring and summer to improve along with some pretty good talent to push him or succeed him if he doesn't improve.

quote:

(2)that LSU has not gotten committments from every single one of the high school seniors that this or that fan proclaims as top notch;

Big exaggeration, are LSU fans concerned with what happened in Louisiana as far as recruiting goes. I think it is safe to say that most of us are disappointed with what has transpired and that has raised some concerns, but so far LSU is still ranked very high as far as team ranking go. But if you are not just a little bit concerned it probably would not be prudent.

quote:

(3) that too many of our undergraduate players are "leaving early", which, to them, signals a serious problem with our coaching staff;

I don't like to see it either and it is definitely starting to be a sign of the times, but maybe there are things the coaching staff can do to recruit from within a little better. Then again maybe not!

quote:

(4)that Alabama seems to be hiring assistant coaches who will be unsurpassed experts during the recruiting process.

Unfortunately the Gumps have a lot to offer, if your a coach and get an offer to coach at Bama it might be too good to pass up. This isn't going to change for a while it seems so worrying over it is stupid, but the reality is it makes it more difficult for their opponents. It is what it is nothing you can do about it.

quote:

If everyone would just stop and wait a few hours or so before launching into a "I don't feel well because things aren't going perfectly at LSU" complaint, perhaps the number of whining messages would decrease. Give consideration to the fact that, in the scheme of things, college sports just isn't a life and death matter.

Nothing is going to be perfect and neither will this board be, maybe you need to chill-lax a little and just let things play out. People are going to complain when things don't go the way they think it should and heap praise when it does. After following this board for a long time I don't see it any different than any other board or the way life turns.
