I have always been a fan of our baseball team. Been very privileged to have seen 3 of their 7 National Championships and have always followed them with immense pride.
Regardless if f how the rest of the season plays out, I will always pull for them and know that we will be successful before the year is over.
Unfortunately, we as a fanbase have become very spoiled over the years. The expectations of winning the NC every year are enough to make anyone anxious and it’s just something that doesn’t happen. To be fair, we have had our share of good luck over the years and it takes that and more to win.
We are replacing the Top 2 picks in the draft( would like to know if that’s ever happened before) and a plethora of runs and the greatest defensive 1st baseman ever to play the position at LSU.
Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but I know that we will be fine before the season ends.
Have faith Tiger Fans.

Reality

This was always going to be a rebuilding year.

Last year's team was at the end of its cycle.

We have the pieces and you see it independently since SEC play started. That is, handful of hits, pitching suffers. Pitching is holding its own and hitting suffers. If each player can contribute when it counts we will do much better. I’m hoping for such.

I'm not sure we do.

The pitching is really bad, worse than the hitting in fact.

Reality - LSU won a national championship last year.
Expectations - None

I am a firm believer that after a NC in any sport, there should be no expectations from fans/alumni for a while (a few seasons). I would love to repeat, but that is not my expectation with what it takes to win it all.
