Biggest moves were letting Pap go back hitting switch
I agree 100%. THIS is the coaching move that should be praised the most. Lots of people questioned it including me. But it was pivotal in getting him hitting well.

I'm going to really, really like Watson in center if, and when he learns to hit the curveball. Has to work on that.

He looks much more comfortable now swinging from the left side. Maybe it's simular to swinging at a golf ball coming 95mph getting accurate swings on it then coming to the plate, that baseball should look much larger. He's making a huge difference in the lineup now though, whatever it was and Hess moving also made a huge difference. Gotta give it to the ole skipper, he knows baseball after all. Lmao

Pap started switch hitting again soon after the McNeese game in Lake Charles. Wasn't that like the 3rd week of the season? Pap didn't flip the switch offensively until much later.

You can't tell me that wasn't a coaching decision that made a difference even if it took some weeks to see results. He's smashing from the left side.

Well we can see in the stats making Jordan the regular DH paid off in clutch situation. That was a pretty big decision too.

He's a poor man's Ty Ross that his coaches try to convince us is a Brad Cresse. I know you love him, ell (you wanted him over Kade Scivicque years ago), but that's the truth even taking into consideration his hot play.

Defensively, I'd say Pap and Ross are a push. Offensively, Ross, as a junior, hit .217 with 3 HRs and 32 RBI. Pap has hit .258 with 7 HRs and 25 RBIs. Ross' OBP% was .295 compared to Pap's .406 this year.

In comparison to Brad Cresse, you're going to have to point to the coaches who have compared either of them to Cresse offensively. I don't think you're going to have much luck with that. But defensively, both Pap and Ross have been far superior to anything Cresse did behind the plate.
