He was going to go to South Carolina, of course he would consider LSU.

None it just he's the hot name out there coaching outside a power 5. I don't think he comes here but you have to make him say no.

mainly, want... but going forward could be a legit option.... if it becomes a bidding war, LSU will trump Houston, but other big programs will come calling too... that's LSU's competition in this...

Interest was gauged last year. Admin should still know from that time how interested he is.

it'll depend on who our competition is and if houston can get into the playoff and/or the b12.
that's pretty much what we're looking at.
i don't think the b12 invites houston, why the hell would they.
i also think petrino and louisville completely smoke check herman and houston later this year, so no playoff for houston.
at the moment, our competion for getting a head coach looks like usc(not sayin g helton gets fired after one season but his seat is warm for sure). i know people are saying notre dame, but in the 21st century, lsu is the better job and i highly doubt they fire kelly even he goes 6-6 or w/e.

U of H would not put bid LSU for Herman but they have a couple alumni that I would put money on that will

If we offer him 5-6m I think you'd have a fantastic shot at getting him. Now if the Texas or usc job was open and they were offering the same I'm not sure you get him.

The time to get Herman was before this year. He's number one on everyone's list and even teams that may give their coach another year (USC, oregon, Texas, ND, AU) will get him this year if he's interested. He could basically pick where he wants to go now outside of a couple schools.
