His running was good as he trusted his vision down field and we all saw good progressions. Only thing we need is our OTs to cover his backside. His pocket presence is such that he seems to trust them........when they're beat, he gets surprised.

That said, it was a great first game in the SEC.

Appeared to have decent wheels to escape pressure and move the chains when no one is open and pocket breaks down.

I liked what I saw a lot. Very posed out there. Could have had a better second half but didn't do anything for us to lose the game and that is what matters.

all you need to do in LSU's offense is be able to consistently make intermediate throws and with Etlings knowledge of defenses he can make this offense 2007 like.

Only 2 passes I cringed at: over throws to Moore and long ball.

Dupre needs to step it up but I won't trash him as I am sure he wants to and is working on it.

Although I completely agree with what you said, and not be "that guy", but this wasn't an SEC game.

I think he meant Etling just played his first SEC game, seeing how he came from Perdue.

Progressions and decision making were a breath of fresh air.

Dude has really good pocket awareness. He seems pretty instinctive also. I liked what I saw from him. The more reps and in game experience he gets the better. I'm not reading TOO much into his first game as a tiger, but he seemed light years ahead of Harris. His stats are not indicative of the game he had. 3 passes I'm sure he'd like to have back and Chi didn't help him out much. Let's just hope Miles doesn't screw him up.

There is no confusion and panic with Etling. He is another Matt Mauck.

He's a cullen, he just needs to feed. He will be super fast and be able to read defenses after he tears up some teal, deer, cow or whatever.
