Huge if true. I expected Pocic to get a lot of time this year, but didn't think he'd overtake Porter. Must be having an awesome camp.

Pocic, Porter, Washington, Alexander, Hoko, Hawkins, and Collins will be the main players on the OL. This concept is one of the few that has gone without much argument this off season on the rant.
Here is hoping Boutte, Dodd, Malone, Demond, Clapp, Brumfield, and Austin are developing and can contribute in case we have an injury situation like 2012 on the OL.

Glad to hear it. I thought Porter was the weak link on the line. Pocic will probably move to tackle next year.

Boutte is a contributor. He is the third tackle at this point. Brumfield is talented enough to play this year at guard.

Pocic was a monster in the closed scrimmage last Saturday. His snaps were sharper and he was destroying anything in front of him. This is no surprise.
Boutte looked a little flabby and a tad sluggish compared to the others.

could pocic move to LT next year possibly?

Hopefully he'll go back to tackle next year

Having him and Hawkins at the two tackle positions will be straight-up unfair.

The left guard pulled right and Pocic was to pick up the right DT but he was a step late and the DT blew by him. Pocic tried to ride his hip but he couldn't get him off his line and quickly he was toast. It was a difficult assignment but I'm sure he has worked hard to correct it. Collins was beat on the play as well, Pocic's guy just got there first.

none of this thread is true and should be taken down, until this season starts and it proves true. pocic ran with the first time on the morning porter graduated. that is the first time. elliott has been dealing with a nagging injury throughout camp and pocic has been filling in. Grimes will no doubt play pocic if he is better, but at this time porter is the best option at center.
like i said i will believe it as true when i see it come game one and porter is fully healthy.. but from what I have seen, the above mentioned is the whole reason for this thread..
and this post is not mean to take anything away from pocic. he is a phenomenal offensive lineman, hard worker, and a student of the game. in due time he will get his chance to shine, and may be some time this season.

Unfortunately sometimes people get caught up in "measurable" and rankings. Everyone does, its human nature. But everyone should be happy that you have 7 SEC caliber starting OL on your team. With 3-4 out of the 7 that can play multiple positions on the line.
I truly think what will hurt Ole Miss, State and give LSU an advantage is we are still much deeper than them in trenches.
So regardless of who starts don't really care, its like they say who finishes. But both will play, and like A&M, Aubie, and Bama, our plug and play system will be fine.
But what has to happen is still, young guys that know they will not play this year, learn, and stay hungry, and follow a guy like Pocic's lead.
A lot of people are sleeping on LSU/NFLU but we have reloaded. This team, with its athleticism and versatility at many positions, will have growing pains, but at the end of the year, any realistic fan should be happy because of the youth but also that we give our young guys the chance and want them to contribute early. There will be head scratching decisions that no doubt will be viewed solely as Les' fault. But when you watch them you will always be saying wow he who is that, and it will be a freshman or sophomore that hasn't played ever, and that's how you build a program.

I'm amazed at the number of people who just reply without reading the link.
Nowhere does it say that he will definitely start. Dellenger, whoever he is, is just making shite up in his tweet.

BUT HES TOO TALL TO PLAY CENTER!!!!!!! He may be the next Barrett Jones. Kid is versatile.
Maybe versatile but unlike Jones, Pocic will be a 1st rounder not a 4th rounder.

He was also the one that F-ed up to get Mettenberger hurt

It may be because Pocic is from Illinois. Show the Midwesterners what they can do if they move up.
