dont think he meant we are selling out of stadiums due to TM7...what I got from the post was that TM7 brought a ton of good publicity to the program...except now of course

and that made us millions how? and quite frankly, TM brought a lot of bad publicity to the school at times as well. LSU was on TV no more or no less that if TM had not played for LSU. I don't know what %, if any that LSU gets from TM7 jerseys, but I would not think much...I would imagine the NCAA gets the bulk of that.

4 Or 5 big plays? Really? Skip obviously didn't watch LSU Football last year. Somebody tell him about YouTube. And on defense, if TM7 wasn't in on the play he was 5 feet away from making it 90 % of the time. His actual numbers (tackles, etc.) speak for themselves. I made a point to watch just how many times he was near the ball cause i couldn't believe he could be all over the field like that. Dude's a player.

you think referring to every poster that you don't agree with as "kid" gives you some type of e-cred or something?

however, I'm still waiting on you to tell me how TM7 made LSU millions of dollars.....and to elaborate on how LSU OWES TM7 a free ride. Now the kids on here may side with you, but I doubt anyone with half a brain in the real world would think LSU owes him anything.

I'm still waiting on you to enlighten me on how he made the school millions and because of that LSU owes him.

hey, I HOPE you are a kid, given the thought process that you have displayed.

True but as I said he brought good publicity to the program (i.e. Chuck Bednarik award, Heisman campaign, all the spectacular plays, etc.)

How many #7 jerseys do you think we sold last year? You do realize that LSU Athletics gets a cut of each jersey sold, right?

Granted, that could have been 7 for PP, but I doubt people bought the #7 jersey last year for Peterson. It was because of Mathieu.

Also, Mathieu increased our visibility with his Heisman candidacy, which surely increased our regalia sales nationwide.

I'm all for giving the kid a chance...IF he stays clean.

And I agree with Stephen A. Smith that LSU should cover his tuition...because they DID make loads of $$ based on his actions.

TM...I'm rooting for you.

Many of you might not agree with me but I think TM needs to realize what LSU has done for him. Would he have been a Heisman candidate if he played at smaller program? Being grateful for what he was given might be a good place to start.

LSU doesn't owe the guy anything. When you play for LSU you get two things. You get an eduation and an open platform to display your skills for the NFL. Lsu may make thousands off of him being in the program, selling HB shirts and through various other avenues, but Tyrann had the opportunity to make millions off of his time at LSU (PP& and Mo sure did). That's alot more than he would've gotten at UAB which is probably where he would've gone had the LSU not taken the chance on him that Tennessee wouldn't after Frank Wilson was gushing over his playmaking ability.

i think its hilarious that both the "experts" (smith and bayless) were saying such ridiculous shite and joe schad was the only informed person at the table

Smith: LSU should pay for TM to stay at LSU

yea, you cant do that

Bayless: LSU didnt want him on the team bc he wasnt that good, he only had a few good plays last year

thats incredibly fricking dumb, if he wasnt that good, then we could just bench him

dumbasses

I thought stephen A was spot on. LSU has made millions off the "honey badger" shite, TM nor his family has received a penny for it. The least they could do is pay for his education if he decides to return.

he had that and pissed it away. LSU owes him nothing. If they give him another chance, fine for them, but they don't owe him shite.

When this happens, it's really saying something about how dumb the people at the table around him are.
