Hopefully LF catches the pitch this time. He lost 15 yards on what would have been a nice play in the Wisconsin game.
Wasn't a great pitch either. High but Fournette should have caught it.
Of course we blame the center on bad snaps...

I'm confident LF will have a HUGE game against Mississippi State.

I like our backs, but I don't think any of them have a HUGE night. It's going to be tough to get yards on their front.

:sigh: I didn't want to do this, but I will. I just hate playing spoiler for you guys, but you leave me no choice.
Leonard Fournette will bust a huge TD run for over 70 yards against Mississippi State.
There, happy? Now the surprise is ruined.

OK, folks, are we talking about the short side option we ran to failure in recent history? Because, if we are, I won't watch that. I will switch to my DVR and watch old EPL games with Sunderland and Newcastle or episodes of Chopped from the Food Channel.

Secret playbook for the defense?
Chief gonna turn it up. Turn down for what!

That, or fake the handoff to the fullback (DL or Hilliard) and then flick the ball out to LF on the edge. Either way, it's really nasty.
I've been waiting on that play. I'm surprised we haven't seen it yet.
There hasn't been much deception in the running game so far, but plays like that or the option, or faking the jet sweep to Quinn (or some other receiver), or some type of reverse, etc., can really slow down the defense and make the between-the-tackles running game that much more effective.

It's coming. You can tell from this play in the Sam Houston State game. Go to 26:10 LINK

Exactly.

I want that fake pitch, fb dive counter thing that hilliard killed Auburn with in 2011.

God, that game was so much fun, but that run is one of my favorites.

FIFY. Nobody would expect it.

Our play calling is still super vanilla
Again, NO CFB TEAM runs a huge amount of different plays. In cfb the success of an offense is about execution. Even a qb draw can be successful if executed right. Cfb programs aren't allowed enough practice time during the week to just learn a bunch of new plays. Its about executing the 60-80 plays you practice every week.

We did it against Wisconsin but the pitch wasn't executed and we lost 15 yards. This was mentioned earlier in the thread btw..
