Exactly

You're the main sports news station. Why feel the need to be so CNNesque? No need for it.

Switching to Joe Schad and talking about him "hurting" when he explicitly said he isn't. Saying his job in jeopardy when he explicitly said it wasn't. Wow, this is why this thread was started. They can't accept being wrong.

No, they intentionally baited everyone with a false (or premature) narrative so they could be the first to break a big story. It's the worst kept secret in CFB right now, and ESPN is just nutting themselves to break the news first.

No one denies what they were doing. That's the point. It's unbecoming.

It's like they're all aboard some full speed train and they want Les Miles gone so they're literally lying on national television.

It's pathetic of them

They have virtually no competition and this is unnecessary IMO

"And in summary, we here at ESPN would just like to reiterate that despite what anyone from LSU has said, including Miles himself, his job IS in jeopardy. We'll continue to bait you into watching our programming for the latest in this story that we cannot get a handle on. We'll be right back."

They wouldn't let Miles go to his press conference and talk like that without letting him know something. If they did, then shame on our athletic department. That's what I'd say anyway.

He may get fired of course.

I just think the fact that they basically acted like it was gonna happen today is just plain terrible. All over social media all morning and on he sidebar all morning.

As I said, it's just like every other media outlet. Anything for a story.

Not what I said at all.

Just they are vultures and don't even need to be considering they have little competition.

You misunderstand my point: Les Miles should not be retained at LSU. Whether he resigns, retires, or is fired, it doesn't matter.

What Miles does not deserve is for ESPN to jump the gun on this and create "click bait" on the circumstance and create a circus over it.

Doesn't change the fact that the bottom scroll bar was basically tweets from Joe Schad talking to fricking fans.

And then going after his family when all their rumors were shot down. That's pretty slimy.
