Elite college QBs are not always great pros. How do you think JD5 translates to the NFL?

I think he can be a very good NFL QB if his frame doesn’t get him killed.

He lets too many guys hit him.

In the right system, pro bowler. His weight will always be a concern, but he’s got everything you want

He’s better than Lamar was. The only thing maybe holding him back will be his size, but he’s got time to bulk up a bit.

I think he will be okay. Depends on what offense it goes to.

However he needs to to slide more after he runs or he's just going to get lit up by the bigger stronger defensive guys.

How tall do you think he is?

Few running quarterbacks make it very long in the NFL. Defense is bigger, stronger and faster. Ask Cam Newton

His career won’t be very long if he doesn’t learn to avoid hits

JD5 is famous for saying he doesn’t slide, well he better learn or he’s going to get snapped in half in the nfl

Lamar was very skinny in college. He bulked up quickly. Daniels will do the same.

How about shitty college QB’s who were drafted in the top 10? Anthony Richardson - never understood how a guy who generally was a liability in college became the greatest prospect in the draft supposedly.

I'm thinking the 1st good hit he gets from an nfl linebacker will make a believer of him...

You said “game over” last night when something went wrong. Go take a lap nerd.

He's improved significantly as a passer. He probably still needs some refinement in his ability to make pre-snap reads, but he could be really good if he can avoid taking too many unnecessary hits.

Burrow said the same thing. He slides now.

Think he will not be a good pro. Real skinny, poor deep ball thrower

Burrow used to say that too. Burrow knows how to slide now.

He has speed, an arm, and a willingness to learn which leads to progression. Yes I think it will translate. Additionally he seems very calm under pressure. Lots of parallels between him and Burrow.
