Who are you excited to see for LSU this year?

Andre Anthony, finally playing where he belongs. I think he’s going shock a lot of people. No dropping back or covering runningbacks. Just pinning his ears and getting after it.

Wish Marcel Brooks would have stayed around. Guy knew how to get to the QB for a true freshman. I was expecting him to be a playmaker this year.

Ojulari is gonna be the raw edge rusher that Brooks gave us. I think Anthony will be Mr Reliable on the edge, though. Active, hungry, assignment edge guy.

Gaye is there to set the other edge and influence passing lanes. Whatever he gives in actual pass rush from that side is lagniappe. Moore is the guy that can get to the QB opposite of Ojulari and Anthony.

all true but keep in mind he was an ideal olb in 3-4 and might not fit a 4-3 as well.

I wouldn’t be surprised if both end up starting before the end of the season

They have jacoby at free safety right now.

I get what your saying about blitzing him but they are young in the secondary

Brook's skillset was ideal for a 3-4 OLB but his body definitely wasn't. He could never play every down as a 3-4 OLB. A 3-4 OLB is essentially a DE in most cases. Bamas true freshman starter at OLB is 235 and considered undersized. Until last season Chaisson was considered undersized. As extremely talented as Brooks is his body is his Achilles heel. He's actually better suited physically for the 4-3. Wish he would've stuck around and I wish him nothing but success in the future.
