Ed Paris - medical redshirt?

I'm not aware of all the criteria, what are the chances he'll be granted a medical redshirt? I know we recruit plenty of talented safeties but, I'm guessing we would like to have his experience back next year.

I’d say the chances are high. He didn’t play in many games

Criteria as I understand them for medical redshirt:
1) Season ending injury
2) Injury must occur during the first half of the season
3) Must have played in no more than 4 games or 30% of the season whichever is greater
So Paris should be eligible to get one if he wants to.
