Great for him. Salaries should be heavily incentive-based.

I think it’ll be $1.7MM in incentives with an undefeated Natty run.

Arkansas might want to think about using incentive clauses rather than pay scale for their next head coach after Bielema and Morris took them to the cleaners with their buyouts

I know there wasn't really a market for O when he was hired full time, but you can tell he was betting on himself to succeed when his contract was on the low end of the SEC but had huge production incentives.

In reality, it's how contracts should be based. Decent base salary with incentives. Have a great season, get paid for that great season. Have a down year, no incentives. Makes sense to me.

Noone worth a damn would take that deal at Arkansas.... who would sign a contract based on winning at a place you know you won't win at for quite a few years

You wouldn’t be saying that if you were a coach. You would want all the guaranteed money you could get because there is very little job security
