Stolen from Captain Crown's thread re Left Tackle:

New LSU offensive line coach Brad Davis was dealt a tough card when left tackle Dare Rosenthal transferred this offseason. Head coach Ed Orgeron identified a few players who can step up at the position in addition to Cam Wire when appearing on Off The Bench with Hester and T-Bob Tuesday morning.

"Next man up," Orgeron said on 104.5 ESPN Baton Rouge. "I'm very impressed with Garrett Dellinger. Garrett has come in here, he's a mid-year graduate, he's tough, he's strong, he's smart, he's handled everything we can give him. Anthony Bradford's turn to step up to play. Those guys are all going to have opportunities, but again, you've got to go through a camp. As you guys know, it's coming up."

Our guys on the OL and a couple on the DL will be older than the mostly normal for their class level aged guys on the other teams. That extra year of maturity does make a difference. Were you stronger or more proficient physically at 23,24 or 21,22?

I think you make a good point, but your example is tendentious. Two years difference is more than one year difference.

The absolute best line that year? Sure maybe not... but i don't understand ya'll calling "weak" a top 10 Oline. They were good, maybe not great, but good

They were more than just good; that was a very good offensive line. Three guys would have been rokkie starters in the NFL has Charles not got hurt. And besides those three guys, we had Deculus, Ingram, Rosenthal and MaGee. Give me that line all day long!
