You can't judge recruiting til a few years down the road. It's amazing how many times disappointments turn into blessings.

Devin didn't have Moses' daddy handling his publicity. Not sure there has ever been a parent hype machine to top him unless it is LaVar Ball.

One rides a horse to practice; the other is scared of a 3 foot ball python.

Hard to believe Devin was a RB that switched positions.
Greatest switch ever.

Moses can’t carry White’s jock. D White will become the top MLB in the NFL in short order.

Well Moses hasn’t done too badly-he’s been a starter for a team that’s playing/will play for the national championship three years in a row

My real concern here is why I can’t LSU get players who play high school on the LSU campus To sign?

I got banned for suggesting Moses was overrated and how this board would react if he didn’t go to LSU.

I think Moses may be better when lined up at OLB in the NFL if he can continue to improve his coverage ability.

no question about this which is why Moses isn't the ideal fit for Saban's system. Moses is ideal for Chavis' system. I don't know what the falcons run now, but he would have been ideal for their system a few years ago.

How is he overrated when he's going to be a 1st round pick next year?

Wouldn’t be surprised to see some push for some others to get playing time at his position next year.

86 tackles
10 tfl
3.5 sacks
1 ff

There is zero chance Moses is benched.

True, he is still there but he's still no where near what Devin developed into and realistic Bama fans will echo the same thing. Like so many recruits, they come in with all this hype and fail to produce!

Devin White is a much better inside linebacker who can find the ball faster and more consistently than Moses and can usually shed/avoid blocks in doing so (I have seen him get consumed by blockers when they're able to get to him quickly)

I agree with your parenthetical. Devin White is physically the ideal LB (I guess one could ask for more height), and he has great character. He is a winner. The knock against DW, imo, is that he gets caught in traffic. His ability to read the offensive line and beat them to the punch is not good. He has not been playing LB that long, so maybe he will improve this, but for now, I don’t think he is an instinctual player.

Someone posted about DW recently that his physical ability to matchup with the Kamaras of the NFL, while still being a physical run-stopper, is rare. These attributes will serve him a lot better in the NFL than in college.

Couldn’t have asked for a better player for this school while he was here and now excited to watch his NFL career.. cheers to one of the all time LSU greats!

I’ve had a top 5 players of the Championship era list for a long time, but it’s getting too tough now, have to make a top 5 offense and defense:

Offense:
1. Josh Reed
2. Leonard Fournette
3. Jarvis Landry
4. Jamarcus Russell
5. Rohan Davey (Burrow on his heels )

Defense:
1. Tyrann Mathieu
2. Marcus Spears
3. Laron Landry
4. Devin White
5. Bradie James (Delpit comin atcha)
