Not trying to be a dick, but just about every week someone asks this same question and I don't think anyone really knows. If I remember correctly, he received a medical redshirt his true freshman season. Very injury prone unfortunately. Hope he can come back and bring a spark to the field, but if not I am sure he can bring leadership to the locker room and help coach up those younger guys.

Crazy that I am saying this about such a good player, but we kind of don't "need" him with all the the talent we have here at DBU.

He will be an integral part of the defense next year. Book it

As soon as he comes back he has the nickel locked down

SS- Corey Thompson
FS- Jamal Adams
CB-Tre
CB- Mills
Nickel- D. Thomas

At around the midseason mark hopefully Kevin Toliver is able to rotate to the second Corner and Mills can go back to playing safety

We do have a lot of talent. But he's got the potential to be the biggest difference maker on the defense since TM7. We always "need" an impact player like him.

Agree with you for the most part. I could see it going one of two ways.. either he goes out there and shows no improvement or growth and forces us to hastily move KT to the outside a game or two early or he goes out and excels in his new found playing time and becomes the player the we recruited him to be. The former would allow for a smoother transition from KT to the outside and add valuable depth to the secondary. but hey, what do i know

I think Tolliver is going to push for some really early play time at CB. Man we are loaded at that position. Insane.

Pure speculation. I feel like we've always found a way to get a big safety out there I could see Rickey Jefferson taking that role too

The fact that Tolliver is already on campus really speeds up his learning curve. He should start earlier than normal if he is good enough.

Completely forgot about Rickey when I made that list. He'll definitely be in there in front of Thompson

has he only had two injuries? If so, does that really qualify him as "injury prone?"

Doubt we see a Honey Badger again, but D Thomas is that type of player. Hopefully his injury and rehab are going well. Jefferson will play a great deal in my opinion. Thompson if back from injury, may play as well.

If Corey Thompson starts next year with the talent we have in that secondary I'm gonna drop everything and become a Tulane fan. It'd be a dj welter situation all over. And I hope you know mills plays safety.

SS - Adams
FS - mills
CB - white
CB - Tolliver/ Paris
Nickel - Thomas/ Donte

I expect all of those guys to get a ton of playing time and if there's anyone to keep an eye on it's Donte Jackson. Dudes a serious competitor with crazy speed. He was lock down the entire army game and people were saying he looked like the #1 corner at the practices
