Don't you think that perhaps it is their position coav's job to correct them in practice. If Les would have to do that you wouldn't need the position coach.

You're right it was a misunderstanding. None of this was Les' fault.

We need a coach that will fuss at someone in practice. That's his problem. Nobody does anything wrong or he just doesn't know what is right and what is wrong

Ummm, do you think Coach O will be "fussing" during practice? Does it rain in Louisiana? I thought so.

There's no doubt about this aspect of Miles. What we have always doubted was his ability to see the weaknesses of the field performance, and then do whatever it takes to improve in those areas. He was not willing to change anything but the names of the coaches around him...and it never changed anything in reality.

You know whats sad here. A young man opens up about his coach. And I read the follow on comments from some of you fricks and you should be ashamed of yourself. All of these young men that came here to play for LSU and Les are in shock. One opens up and you know these kids read this damn board unfortunately, and he sees shite spewing from some of your mouths. Referring to Les as dad instead of coach. The man had a style and in your face wasn't it. It worked pretty damn good for 12 years. Good enough to win 114 games, a National Title and some SEC Championships not to mention some pretty damn good recruiting classes.

If these kids loved Les that's their choice. Show them a little respect and sympathy for losing their coach suddenly. I was tired of how Les' philosophy was working just like many, but I'm a fan of LSU. I stick by my Tigers till the end. And while I'm bitching. In regards to Brandon Harris. I wasn't a huge fan of him at QB. I thought he didn't have a grasp on the offense or just couldn't handle game pressure. To know that some asswipe amongst us sent him death threats...are you kidding me? Over a damn game. He is a 21 year old kid trying his best. It wasn't good enough, but last night when called on he was prepared to come in for 1 play. Says something about his character.

I think so fans need to scale it back. And if you want to fire away at me let me remind you I'm a combat vet that's been in Iraq and Afghanistan multiple times. You don't scare me.

Maybe Miles should have "fussed" at more players in practice, then he might still have his job.

Yelling something doesn't magically make you a better coach as opposed to saying the same thing without yelling.

You guys are funny with the ra ra, yell at them stuff.

Give everybody a trophy and lets sing around the camp fire. Football is combative, teamwork and discipline. You don't get that by being nice. After practice, after games you can be nice and throw flowers around. In practice and games you come to take someones desire to participate away.

Some of these players are hurting right now. No matter our feelings about Miles, these players shouldn't be chastised for feeling the way they do.

I don't see anyone doing that to Dural. He should feel as he likes, just his statement explains why we look like poop

This "I'm your buddy first, then your coach" comfort these players have won't disappear overnight. A lot of them will be in a rude awakening if a new coach actually yells at them on the sideline for a change. We need a culture change as badly as we needed a coaching change.

This is why new coaches clean out the old staff when they come on. If LSU hires someone like Herman everyone currently there is gone!

I'm happy regardless of what LSU football team does.
I enjoy winning better than losing thou. Les in the end was not a winner. Truth be told he lived off of what Saban built. Teams progressively got softer and more undisciplined. Combine that with a poor offensive coordinator and we became a middle of the pack SEC team with top talent.

LSU will be better without Les and not because Les was not a good ambassador or nice guy, but because Les needed to be good at one of two things.

1. Field a disciplined fundamentally sound team.
2. Have a progressive offense that can score points.

We had neither and that's why we are here today. We should have been here 3 years ago. But I have still been happy.
