Like him getting a start somewhere to see him get a few at bats while in the game instead of PH.

Why not just move Doughty back to 3rd and put Bianco at 2B?

Probably one of the best fielders on the team so it makes sense.

I wonder why JJ is so locked into Doughty at 2nd. I would like Bianco at 2nd and Doughty at 3rd honestly.

Or Merrifield.

I'd like it better if he were at 2nd.

I hope he can find his stroke from late last season and take over the position. He’s a leader and great teammate that brings a lot to the table when he’s hitting. Good luck young man I’m rooting for you.

Wonder if he's just tinkering or if Merrifield is nicked up. Either way, I like it. Bianco might be the spark we need headed into conference play.

On this years team, absolutely. And if not the best, certainly one of the more versatile defensive players we've had. Think the only position he hasn't played is catcher, but I bet he could if asked.

They obviously see something with Doughty at 2nd. Just giving him and Thompson time to figure everything out I guess. Not saying I agree or disagree. I think Doughty is capable of both just looked much more comfortable at 3B last season.

I like Bianco. Been hurt most of the off season, so good to see him getting healthy.

It looks like he’s using this weekend to try to look at his options going into sec play.
I don’t think jay is that big on merrifield . He’s constantly getting him to bunt in situations where a player with his ba normally wouldn’t bunt and he’s pinch hitting for him more than normal for a guy hitting over 300

I may be wrong, it just seems he doesn’t trust merrifields bat as much as you would expect him to with how he’s hit.
Am I wrong here or does anyone else see this? I’m not criticizing the situation, just making an observation. I’m not someone that should be asked about baseball strategy though

Someone in the media needs to ask him the question. I trust CJJ knows more than all of us, but I just want to hear his thinking on the subject.

That what I would hope too. But it seems like Doughty is Jay's guy at second.
