Ga and Tenn better....OK!!???

Chubb was having a monster 2015 before his injury; many pundits thought he was having as good a year as LF.

Hurd is good, but is not in the same class as those two.

Probably has more to do with the dearth of quality RBs in the league this year. It's a graveyard after the top 3-4.

I gst what you are saying, but still this is the best the SEC has been at RB in a while.

Did you forget Vandy's RB who is about to break the Vandy rushing record with zero pass offense? Florida has 3 nice looking backs, but are unproven, same with Bama.

It's not that their aren't enough quality RBs, it's just that most are on the top teams. Usually nobody talks about the backup RB. This is the first year that it's been in discussion so heavily because of how supremely talented it is.

Guys like Guice, Kamara, and Michel would start at most other schools, but are stuck behind already great backs. Chubb needs a little over 1200 yards to be UGA's #2 career rusher, Hurd needs less than 900 to be Tennessee's #1 career rusher, and Fournette needs a little over 1560 yards to be LSU's #1 career rusher.

Guice averaged 8.6 ypc last year and was impressive down the stretch as a KR, averaging 28.3 yards per over the last 4 games.

Kamara had almost 1000 yards from scrimmage with 11 total TDs (including a PR TD).

Michel had over 1100 rush yards, 270 receiving yards, and 11 TDs from scrimmage in Chubb's absence. And his passing game was as bad as ours during that whole span.

And don't forget the 3 headed attack at Kentucky. All Boom needs is the touches, but he's easily a 1000+ yard rusher next year.

Guice is barely on the radar right now. Hopefully he's not so hyped here that he becomes a disappointment.

I tweeted this to him since he included the UT QB Dobbs in his reasoning for putting UT at #1.

@PeterBurnsESPN @mstinch79 you can't count UT's 3 when you call it a tandem which by definition is a pair, right? LSU is #1 Guice is beast

He tweeted back:
@ob1kalody Yep Duo [tandem] not Solo which by definition is one guy w 300 atts & other w 51.

My response:
@mstinch79 #2 RB at UT 698 yds. w/ 6.5 yd. ave. LSU #2 RB 436 yds. w/ 8.5 yd. ave. Sorry but the 8.5 yd/ ave. guy is better, & you'll see!

I feel like people don't know just how good Guice really is.

This. Kamara and Michel have played a lot. Guice hasn't. The only reason Guice isn't well known outside of BR is because Fournette is in the same backfield. Frankly (and I'm sure the downvotes are coming) I think Guice could be a better ALL AROUND back that LF. LF needs blockers to create a little bit of space for him to get going. Once that happens he is a run away train. Guice on the other hand can create his own space in traffic. While he may not have quite the breakaway speed and head on power of LF, Guice makes people miss and drags the guys that don't.

Guice got about 12% of the RB carries last season. If he gets 25% this year, then everyone in the SEC will know his name by the end of the year.

I don't know why people get so worked up over these list.
All you have to do at look at the last 10 Heisman trophy winners, none of them were considered any kind of preseason candidate and almost all came completely out of nowhere.

As Chris Berman says "and that's why we play the game"

I wish they would stop all of these "watch list" and just do their job and watch everybody and then decide who is best by their performance on the field

Outside of Louisiana Guice is still unknown. He didn't play enough last year to get the attention he deserves. They will find out soon though. I tried telling a Big Ten guy how good he was and he had never heard of him but knew all about UGA's RB depth.
