The toughest part of this is - Miles made the right call with Perrilloux and this probably cost him 3 or 4 games, conservatively.

Just give him 2 from 2008/2009 and he averages 11 wins a season and is higher than everybody on that list, including the peck.

Miles is resposinle for the most humiliating loss in 50 years.

losing to UAB 10-13 back in 00-01 was far more humiliating to me than losing to Bama.

The thing people have with Miles is that he doesn't instill confidence with maintaining LSU at an elite level

If 7 years of having teams NR at #1, #2, #3, #5, #8, and #17, having 3 west titles, 2 SEC titles, 2 BCSCG appeararnces, and the most SEC wins, doesn't " instill confidence"....you never gonna have it. imo

Miles would have lost three or four games last year without that bar fight. His conduct during the championship game was literally inexplicable, thus all the crazy stories about pre-game fights etc.

People stretching for an explanation. RR leaving, three top LA players leaving the state, Gunner switching, all due to this belly flop in the big game. He better learn to leave the OC alone this year or we are doomed.

Right.... Please go be a fan of someone else this is by far the dumbest comment you negatigers can make....new flash for you neither QB won a game... We reilied on a running game and great defense all year..... It didn't matter who played out of lee or jj we ran the ball and played D period all year...stop being a negative arse and look at the facts.... should he have switched in NC game yes but its a coaches call... get over it...And there was no pre-game fight moron.. it obvious you NEVER played sports at a higher lever than pee wee sports... no team that was as close as this one would start a fight before the NC game being 13-0.... When one of them who supposedly is coming back u think if the rumor are true since RS was on of the ring leaders of the made up argument.. he would come back... right b/c after calling ou his head coach he would comeback .. Move on and stop ur drama....

As far as recruiting you win some u lose some... happens every year... And just b/c according to sites that theses kids were the top 3 kids doesn't mean they were the top 3 to LSU.. LC was but how sure are u the other 2 were in there top 3... top 10 but not all 3 were in there top 3

Please get a life and try to enjoy being a tiger fan...

2 great moves followed by one giant, collosal frick up. Get used to it.

Miles plays chess by checking you twice followed by leaving by leaving himself open for a checkmate.

RR2 - was reported to be declaring for the NFL before the UGA game. 1/9/12 didn't affect his decision. IF we would've won he was going to the NFL.

Collins - LSU can't recruit against a girlfriend. Nothing LSU could do.

Davis - We thought we had him. He, his mother, and his coach all said he was going to LSU up unitl NSD morning. How do comabt that? Kid's committed for a year, tells you he is committed on the night af 1/31, and the signs with Tx at 1pm on 2/1 and never tells you.

Devall - #8 prospect in the state, not top 3. Too big at LB for LSU's scheme. Fits perfectly in Bama's 3-4. Committed to Bama for several months and also was coached by the same coach Davis had.

Kiel - 11th hour got homesick. Again nothing LSU could do or offer that would change that.

SO of all the recruits people keep throwing out, Davis is the only recruit that could possibly have been due to 1/9/12, per his comments about unhappy players. However, if 1/9/12 made that big of a difference, why did he make his decision 3 weeks later. His actions on 2/1 were shady, immature, and sadly probably stimulated by his coach who has been opennly anti-LSU.

Oh, I'm pretty use to Nancy-Downers taking for granted the most elite period of football in LSU history.

but, but, but...........LC went to bama.

Yeah he did but there are 4* & 5*kids scattered around this country who choose an out of state school but one that was close enuff to home. Take that Winston kid, the QB out of the Birmingham area who was arguably the #1 recuit in the country...he went to FSU. Out of state yet close enuff to get home in short order. You might be forgetting that this time of their lives is the 1st chance in their lives to kinda get out on their own and some elect to do it. No one school's gonna get every 4* and 5* available in their state 'cuz human nature ain't gonna let that happen....just my opinion.

RR leaving

Top flight players who leave their programs after their jr year (or 3rd year sophs) are a dime a dozen this day and age, it's happening to every major program in the US. Gunner was waffling the minute he gave the verbal to Indiana so that one should have been seen long ago. No program is going to be able to sign every great recruit in its state....human nature dictates otherwise. Finally, every team is going to lose games that leave the fans wondering what happened. It's happened before and it's gonna happen again.

Nothing on this planet is quite as sweet as beating the snot out of elite teams with elite coaches with a coach that is bat- shite crazy. Sure being bat- shite crazy can bite you in the arse, but more often then not it works for Les and LSU. I'm in!

I just hope that Miles doesn't loose his bat-shite crazy. That has been one of my favorite things about watching the tigers the last few years.

Losing 31-0 in Tiger Stadium was pretty bad. (2002, for those who are interested).

For all of you Les Miles fans that believe he
can do no wrong, and for those that believe that
he can't do right. It's time to realize that
he is a sub par coach that recruits reasonably well in a fertile territory.
He should not be taken for granted as long as he
is LSU's head coach. Not be cause he is some sort of idiot savant.

Only idiot here is you..You should be banned.
