I think the issue here for most people is that he didn't progress in 2014 at all. From bowl game to bowl game we saw little to no improvement. Or anything to give LSU fans optimism.

And make no mistake, it's not just us. Everyone has taken notice to how bad the QB position has been.

Saturday Down South

Former LSU players speak on bad QB play. Nola.com

there's plenty more too, but I need to get to work.

1) How did AJ do versus the same team?

2) How was Harris' game AT AU any worse than Jennings game versus New Mexico St AT HOME?

Jennings game at home was statistically one of the worst game any QB Could EVER have. And it took that in order for Miles to give Harris a chance.

Why dont you dumbasses understand that Jennings was an inexperienced QB last year as a Soph and is going to improve with repetition? Why shouldnt he? Yall exoect Harriss to improve so why shouldnt AJ? It seems that many of you are expecting and actually pulling for poor performances from Antthony Jennings. I guess some of you are wanting Jennings to stay the same for two years? Why so much hate toward him?

i hate posting this bc i really like the guy. from all accts he seems to want to lead this team, he lives to workout and watch film.

that said, usually in a young inexperienced player you see flashes of brilliance and unfortunately he only shows flashes of competence. so far based on what he has shown his ceiling just doesn't seem all that high. i'm rooting like hell for him to prove me wrong though.

What a dumbass post.
Based on what I've seen I don't think there is a whole lot of difference between the two.

Furthermore if Harris is so much more talented why isn't that coming to fruition as we speak?
I mean they are currently competing for the job and les continually says AJ has upper hand .

No one is hating him.. but he is what he is. He is not the same talent as Harris. Jennings still had a full year in the system prior to last season. Harris did not.
Here is what i dont understand. How do some many of you people know that Harris is elite? You arent at practices, you dont see anymore than the media guys. What makes you so certain harris has all this potential?

You apparently missed Jennings performance the week before, at home, against New Mexico State. Jennings was 2 of 11 with 2 interceptions and a fumble in a quarter and a half.

Must have been the only LSU game you "seen" last year.

Coming from the same person that didn't see any talent difference between Beckwith and Welter that's rich.

Most of the people saying Jenning's can't get better said the same thing about Quarterman last season. With a season under their belt, seeing SEC defenses, and natural growth / maturity; both QB's will be better.

I'm not sure I remember the last time a starting LSU QB finished the season completing less that 50% of his passes. Just check downs to RBs alone should keep that average above 50%.

In Jennings defense I do also place blame with the coaches. They are not doing enough play calling and scheme wise to put their QBs in a position to succeed. Easy passes early to get the QB comfortable. Use the freaking TEs in the pass game. They drop one or two passes and we give up on them. Until they start forcing the passing game our RBs will continue to face 9 in the box.

Actually, I find it highly concerning that as little talent as AJ obviously has, BH can't pull ahead. He's only 1 year behind AJ and AJ is f'n godawful. BH, if he was anywhere near as good as advertised, should have made it obvious at this point.

No one knows for sure if BH is not out performing Jennings. As far as I know Miles is the only one giving the reports on the QBs' performance and as we all know anything you hear from Miles has to be taken with a tablespoon of salt.

Yeah, Tigerlee is clearly ignorant.

Based on people paid to evaluate talent, Harris has more overall talent. I don't know how he can even dispute that.

What's funny is you think the comments by miles have any bearing on reality.

Miles wants AJ just like he wanted JJ
