Common misconception. Defense alone lost more than a handful of games over the past couple years.

LSU averaged 13.67 ppg this season vs. SECW opponents.

How again is "offense is the issue" a misconception?

LOL ... I'm guessing you are only counting the fricking goose egg vs. Arky as on the offense.

What about when we scored fricking 10 points vs Ole Miss and won?

You think the D was the issue that game?

You evidently put the Bama game solely on the D ... how many teams score 13 fricking points and ever beat Bama ?..... fricking 9-6 shite don't happen every day.

I swear ... the folks on here who act like defense is the issue ... shite, what the hell were y'all watching?

Our offense was hot garbage in most games that mattered with an opponent with a pulse.

The Offense has cost us more games than the D over the last 2 years. If you want to cherry pick a game here or there, sure you will find them where the D collapsed but the O is the problem, it can't make first downs in the last 3 to 4 minutes of games, it does not take charge of games, we leave ourselves vulnerable to other teams, the Offense continually is a failure, when compared to the Defense.

3rd in scoring defense

7th in rushing defense

3rd in passing defense

3rd in total defense

When does telling the truth make you a downer? I'm sorry I'm not jumping up and down, but I will when the offense is a top 50 offense. That's not asking much.

True Dat! If we could stop Bama in the final 2 minutes we would have beaten them & Notre Dame since both Bama home games and the MCB the last 3 years have been lost in the waning moments much to our disappointment.

Cherry pick? I just gave you 3 of our 5 losses this year that are absolutely on the defense and disprove the nonsense that you originally said. Come at me with some stats instead of words. Because the way I see it, the defense is mainly responsible for at least 3 losses this last year, and at the very least the UGA game last year. So hats half right there.

You can also make a case for the Ole Miss game, but Mett's interceptions played a part. Defense still gave up 500 yards in that game though, so they aren't blame free.

And you can also look at the debacle against Bama this year where the defense couldn't protect a lead with 50 seconds and no time outs. So you either show me some stats and breakdowns like I did, or you can stop just saying things that sound good to you without any evidence to back it up.

So tell me all these games the defense is mainly responsible for. I see the Ole Miss game this year, and I see the Iowa bowl game. So what else?

Defense blew it against auburn and miss state.

And the back end of the bama game. But they played awesome for most of of it. Offense couldn't help them out.

The offense did enough though against Bama at least in my opinion. Going into that game, if you were told we'd be winning with 50 seconds left and Bama with no time outs, you'd have to say whatever we did was enough. Unless you facto in that we knew rhat was coming with Chavis.

Regardless, I need to see stats to back up the claim that defense won more games than the offense the last two years. Because the scores from the last two years and the stats from several of our losses this year don't back that narrative up.

Sorry don't have the stats to give you, know what I saw repeatedly, offense gives up the ball in the last 3 to 4 minutes of most games due to the fact they cannot get a first down. That is the problem, has been for a long time.

Obviously we don't agree.

Of course you don't have stats. That's what I thought. Icky for you this is anchored, so only a few people will see this.

I'm sure there'll be another thread where you regurgitate the same nonsense that won't get anchored.

The Clemson lost was solely on the offense. No reason why Clemson should have had double the amount of offensive play calls.

Defense could have got them off the field, and what does a game from 3 years ago have to do with the last two seasons?

I think this may be helpful to you in explaining our offensive difficulties

I never said our offense is great. I just want you to list some of the games the defense won for us over the last two years besides the ones I mentioned. It should be easy for you, since you said they were responsible for was more than the offense. But you know you can't, which is why you refuse to answer. You can't refute anything I've posted in this thread.

Got it, the man himself said the offense was not good enough, he should have listed the actual games that they lost due to an inability to get first downs in the last 3 minutes of games that mattered, teams that were formidable

More words. Just admit you can't prove what you claimed. Only you and I will see it.
