Right. This team has been playing badly from day one. The OL is the biggest disappointment and I don't know how much coaching up u can do. They are getting beat physically. The defense has been okay but they also get pushed around at times. If they go 6-2 with O, I think it would be a success for him. I don't see it though. Unless they stop all these mental errors.

I bet this offense still looks totally different! You don't need to change a whole lot for the offense to look different people. I never wanted them to change the offense just the way they call it. Their sequence of plays called actually over and over took them out of the rhythm they would be in. Keep them in a rhythm, it's really not that difficult.

You know everyone always says Oline play is more Will then anything else. I think coach O is good at this one thing and that's getting the players to play hard nosed so i hope to see improment from them. You can't let people blow you up behind the line. Take their aggresivness and use it against them. Why doesn't LSU Cut more at the LOS?? Lots of teams do this. They need to mix it up on the OL also. Throw screens on downs where you think they coming and don't miss your fracking blocks when you throw the screen. All you have to do is slow him down and cover him up. You don't really have to put a hand on the man. The backs need to let the OL block also. Lots of little things will make a big difference imo. The defense needs to play more under control but attack in straight lines. Stop running at angles it puts you in a bad position. Beckwith made a few plays in the backfield last week and I think he's capable of much more of that. Play smart and PLEASE work on how to catch jump balls and when to go up for them. You can set up that DB if you don't show him the balls coming. And DBs get your head around to the ball and fight for a ball. DL get yalls hands up more on passing downs and go for more strips when they run it. You can tackle and go for a strip at the same time, it's called scraping tackle where you punch up or down as you wrap up.

I haven't seen smart play from LSU in a long time to be honest. We can play much smarter and give our offense more chances by playing defense smarter. When our offense has the ball take advantage of it on every series and down. Bunch of trick plays right out the gate isn't what you call smart imo. Get the defense guessing first and bust their tale one way and go the other. It really blows my mind how Cam couldn't get this done in COLLEGE??? Maybe it was Les IDK??

I want to see less predictable play calling. I no longer want to see incomplete passes on second and long. I want to see a more diverse array of running plays. I don't want to be able to correctly predict the play that will be run, based on the formation and the personnel in the game.

If the staff is more creative with what we have, I will be happy.

Wouldn't be so sure. One poster the other day said if we came out in the I formation they were going to lose it. Hope they're ready to lose it.

Small things make a huge difference. Things like using four receiver sets, sending more than a one receiver route to the sideline, running routes pass the first down marker instead of thre yards in front, tempo, less confusion getting plays in, and utilizing the middle of the field when passing, so the defenders can't key on the the only two outside routes. Those tweaks can make all the difference in the world.
