On the radio today they said you'll see 4 WR sets. Coach O said he wants to do what they did at USC.

The oline still has been struggling and may trump "what they did at USC" if they cannot protect with five.

We don't need an overhaul. We needed vision. If thats all he does this season is help the players understand a competent scheme that doesn't involve running into 11 men, we'll be fine.

Thanks man! I would have thought we would be run and shoot after 4 practices, but I'm glad you clarified. My expectations are now more realistic.

I just want to see better execution and competency. The style of offense is too difficult to change mid-season. But, we have plays that work. We just have to mix it up and execute well.

No one should expect a new offense.
Just better, less predictable play calling.
Guice and LF on the field together (when LF is healthy).
Rub routes, drag routes, etc.
The plays are probably there.
You can run more multiple receiver sets and less 2 TE's.

Don't worry we have DE, he will throw for around 120 yards and the Rant will give him another pass

Honestly, the scheme alone isn't the problem. It isn't ideal, but the primary problem is how it's been implemented.

Hell, just moving away from the scared shitless approach to offense will be an improvement if it happened

We are not going to install a new offense what o means is we will open the offense up and change the approach. You'll see 4 wide sets you'll see us use the te and throw to the backs out of the backfield you'll see us use the pass to set up the run. We won't be in the I formation on 99% of first down plays. There can be a huge difference in the way an offense looks without changing the entire offense.

Yea rpos(run pass options) when the qb gets to the line and sees 8/9 in the box he just throws a smoke route to a wr. This alone will help us a lot and everybody outside of lsu has these built in to the gameplan.

I'd be worried if they did...just get ball to your playmaker's and be a little more creative.

cam Cameron ran a "air coryell" system. Learned from norv turner himself. That is a west coast concept. So ya know we have it I the playbook and have practiced it. Miles ran. Traditional Smashmouth power running offense out of the I. So basically it's a blend of both but miles always trumped what Cameron wanted to do. Point is what O wants to do and what they did at USC is close to what Cameron implemented. I don't think it will happen over night but it won't be Chinese to the offensive players.

everybody blames the scheme and the scheme alone. I swear some people will only be happy when we change that, neglecting the results.

this team needs a lot more that a change of scheme. it needs to know how to fricking score points. it needs to learn not to frick up by missing blocks, dropping passes and not playing hard.
