Hard to understand the decision. Russian posted back after AC got the Msu gig that several current head coaches at smaller schools applied for the job. I'd have to think there was some interest from more qualified candidates.

So what if he's playing ball. LSU could pay him more and he totally fits the mold of what CPM hires. Mediocre former players who everyone raved over while they were a Tiger. If not Katz, he could always hire Raph Rhymes.

You guys don't know what went on. Coaching hitting is not like coaching anything else. It is more the players who are hitting. This is not like football where you can change the plays. He could have hired another coach and there likely wouldn't be any difference right now
