Me too Walrus I was about to say I doubt it, but hope he can contribute. Thinking about now, I think the comment will work for pitcher Bain as well, although I think he has a better chance.

If he finds some movement on his fastball it will be hard to keep him out of the rotation. He already has a filthy change up and an above average curve.

Reynolds is returning from injury. He's being stretched out. He has starter stuff if he can stay healthy.

Godfrey and Bain have good stuff, too, but both lack control. We need one of Godfrey, Bain, or Reynolds to command the zone. If so, we'll enter postseason with Poche as the third starter behind Lange and one of these. That would be an enviable situation.

Doubt it. Seems like a good weekend bullpen guy though.

Bain will likely stay a long reliever for situations just like friday. Poche has been troubled this year a little although I think Friday was just a bad night for him. Godfrey can be a time bomb on some occasions with his emotion. Bain is just the guy for these situations. Since he went so long friday and lange went 7 last night we still have Person and Stallings without innings this weekend.

Outstanding and worthy bump. Bain is the second best starter right now.
