2008- LSU goes 7-5 and gets the Chicfila bowl

2012- LSU goes 10-2 and gets the Chicfila bowl

How can you NOT see a problem here?? ?

Want to talk 2005? LSU is chicfila bowl after coming up short in SECCG, and in 2012 the SECCG loser is afforded a New Year's Day bowl.

Want to talk prestige?? The chic fila bowl is NOT a New Year's Day bowl. The Cotton and CapOne/Citrus have always been New Years Days bowls. There's a big difference there.

LSU needs to ditch the SEC- it's bullshite.

Yet somehow its always LSU. Oh the conference expanded-someone was going to get screwed on scheduling. Oh bridge year-someone was going to get screwed again. Oh you go 10-1 playing 10 straight games while playing through the biggest natural disaster in the nations history w/ half your teams families and homes displaced and finally running out of gas in the SEC CG-Chicken bowl for you! 10-2 2-2 vs top ten (2 losses by a combined 12 pts to two 1 loss teams) while beating A&M and USC-Chicken bowl again Outback and Cotton for USC and A&M.

Honestly IMO as far as overall experience Cotton>>Chick>>>>Cap 1>>>>>>>>Outback. However its the principle of the matter.

10 wins doesn't mean what it used to. I think it's time people accept this.

Good thing we will have 11 wins then. Just as we did in 05 06 07 10 11.

And
06 - sugar bowl
07 - natl champ
10- cotton
11 - natl champ
12- chicfila

One of these is not like the others.

No I completely agree. I was just responding to the tool who was downing the accomplishments of the team reaching 10 wins.

This team fought and clawed through a ton of adversity and doesnt deserve alleva being a spineless tool letting slive push LSU around.

You people are idiots.

All of these bowls are individual entities, they sign contracts for pecking order of teams, so a large part of it is the economics of choosing team a vs team b. obviously that's not the only factor but how can you complain about the cotton bowl picking two schools where it is located in the middle of the campuses and they are each only a few hundred miles away from Dallas.

So when someone makes a "smarter" pick for their bowl and lsu keeps getting passed over for other teams, you take the best available offer aka chicken bowl.

LSU went to the Peach Bowl in 2005 with a 10-2 record. I called this bowl game for LSU after the Bama loss. It's the same "perfect storm" that hit us in 2005. More intriguing match ups in "better bowls."
