With a long term contract is the thing to do? Are you really convinced Jimbo or Herman would be the right choice? A mistake of that magnitude would set us back a very long time. CEO would take the job for less on a shorter term. Why not hire a proven OC and roll with it? Hiring Saban or Harbaugh or Meyer for that money is t a gamble but those guys aren't coming. Hiring anyone else at that pay grade is a huge risk.

So you're convinced that's the right thing to do? Why? No one ever gives an answer that makes any sense to that.

With most things in life you get what you pay for.

Are you convinced that "rolling with it" wouldn't set us back?

Jimbo is a national championship winning coach, has ties to LSU and develops QBs. Yes, he's a good hire.

Yes, you pay the man that has won a national title as a head coach whatever it takes to get him here. You pay that same man that won a national title as an offensive coordinator here at LSU whatever it takes to get him here.

You don't hire the guy who has never been a coordinator and had one opportunity to run his program as a head coach and failed miserably. LSU is not the spot to "try out" coaches to see if they have learned from their mistakes.

With a good offensive coordinator hire yea I'm convinced. What is the one thing this team is missing? A F KINg play caller with half a brain. That's it. We don't need to pay that kinda money for a coach that's not as top notch as the three I mentioned. Who else is in their league that's available?

I'll hire a proven OC and keep Aranda and do the job for 100K for 1 year

Jimbo is not worth that kind of money. His program sucks now. He had Jameis Winston. That's it. He's nowhere near the caliber of the other three.

Why are you not willing to keep Ensminger as offensive coordinator? He and Aranda are the guys propping Orgeron up and making him look viable. Orgeron just listens to what they say and cheers them on. But you want to give Orgeron all the credit for winning 4 games while saying Ensminger, who's running the offense, isn't good enough for the LSU job?

What kind of messed up thinking is that?

Ok man so who are we hiring for the big money? Who honestly is worth that risk? No one can give a good reason. They simply argue for sake or arguing.
