Do you feel confident Joe Alleva can make a good hire if he fires Miles?

I do, yes.
LSU football isn't Duke football. Very few people want to coach there and even less win there.

Please don't compare hiring a football or baseball coach at Duke to hiring a football or baseball coach at LSU.

Yes. LSU has better resources than Duke. Everyone will have shitty hires under their belt. We seem to still put Skip Bertman on a pedestal, and he is the reason we had Smoke Laval. Jeremy Foley hired Ron Zook before he landed Urban Meyer then hired Will Muschamp. Mal Moore hired Dennis Franchione, Mike Price, AND Mike Shula before landing Nick Saban.

Absolutely not. Alleva is the worst AD we have had in a long time. He will screw it up and screw us in the process.

This is my biggest issue. We are very likely to end up with a Ron Zook or Mike Shula.
