Decision to retain Les Miles was made in meeting of LSU decision makers during 3rd quarter of tonight’s game, per source

If this is actually how it went down, LSU is screwed for many years to come with the current leadership.

Though it wouldn't surprise me one bit, Schad is trying to cover his arse at this point

Yes, local media reported that Alleva was absent most of the 3rd from his box.

It wouldn't surprise me if Alleva was in a backroom playing rock, paper, scissors with Miles kid to see if Miles keeps his job

Something happened in the 12th hour.

Miles 100% believed he was gone and so did the players.

There's video on ESPN where he's more specific. Actually sounds believable.

Hell yes I do. This was handled horribly. Les had no reason to be lying all of this time saying he had no clue and he even said it before the game. I honestly believe that he wasn't told until after the game and the decision wasn't made until the last second.

Make no mistake F. King Alexander made this call and told Alleva thus was it. Fisher plan backfired, $15 to spend when the university system is struggling, our pouring for Miles sealed the deal.

i found out about the meeting WAY before Shad ever reported anything FWIW. i didn't believe it until he was the second person to confirm it.

I agree. I think Alleva was the one wanting Miles gone and Alexander fricked this situation. Sadly Alleva will probably pay the price for Alexander's decision.

He was probably at the police station pouring over logs hoping to find a football player's name somewhere.

No, I do not believe that there was a secret in-game meeting of the Billionaire Redneck Illuminati that decided Miles' fate.
