Only one coach that he has hired has not panned out.

It's alright, but after the TJ situation settles and hopefully we will have a new coach, I will be able to tell after that

Yes

TJ was a great hire on paper

Did what he had to do to keep Miles from going to Michigan

Nikki Caldwell is legit

Made a great softball hire but it blew up through no fault of his own

His track record so far is as good as anyone could expect.

I agree, but alot of things look great on paper that cost people jobs. I'm not saying Alleva should be fired just adding that to the discussion.

To add to that, he honestly and truly loves this university, despite the sh*t that comes his way, from coaches, players, fans, boosters and the rest of those who know little about his actual job responsibilities. He came and spoke to our MBA class and I was blown away at how passionate he is about LSU, its supporters and even its naysayers.

This is far from just a paycheck or stepping stone for him.

He is terrible. He allowed the CBS title game to happen. A good ad would have hired a new coach at halftime

Should have fired Trent weeks ago, now he leaves you high and dry with signing day right around the corner. I don't think he's a terrible AD, but his handling of Trent sucked

In fairness to Alleva, he had been AD at LSU for like 2 days when he made the hire. he had no idea what kind of fit TJ would be. That was the best hire he could have made under the circumstances.

I think he is doing a fine job. He represents LSU in a great way. I think this was a mutual decision between he and TJ.

Ok, if you want a great olympic sports programs Alleva is your man. He has had to make one major hire and he fouled it up, and it was supposed to be his strong suit.

Another way of looking at it is this is the second coaching issue in as many years that has devolved into a damn circus. Remember the softball fiasco last year? Now signing day is in 5 days and we don't have a coach, bravo joe, while you were gallavanting at the Final 4, you could have handled this situation weeks ago by running Trent.

If he still would have went to TCU we would have only owed the contract difference.

I have no strong opinion on his performance so far, although for some reason I just don't trust the guy. Time will tell...

I agree with all of the above.

But a Johnny Jones hire would make me second guess a lot of it.

Just saved the school over $1 million,
& two weeks ago was in the middle of the NCAA tourney, hopefully he was getting a feel on the next coach

Not doing enough! Stadium should have been expanded long ago! Trent Johnson needs to be let go. Rooms in tiger stadium should be renovated and players should live in the stadium. Lsu golf course needs to blow up there driving range and start over its a terrible joke!
