We scored 4 runs in two games, our opponent scored zero. No HRs, Tons of steals, aggressive base running and hellacious defense. Not exactly the return of gorilla ball

LSU baseball can afford nice wooden bats and to replace them.

Small budget, small school teams cannot. That has always been the claim.
This makes more sense. I'm sure it's the same reason for the ban on helmet radios for QB's. That said, I'd still like to hang a number on the cost of replacing cheaper wooden bats vs. more expensive metal bats that never break. At what rate do wooden bats break? What's the shelf life of an average wooden bat? I remain skeptical on the net cost vs. budgets - even for smaller schools. It still seems like a drop in the bucket.

The game has now leveled out to a good mixture of small ball and guerilla ball.

It's still too much on the small ball side, but it was a step in the right direction.

ULL won a game 2 to 1 by scoring 2 in the ninth and never hit the ball out of the infield--squeeze bunt and HBP.

If LSU makes it to CWS and does not use small ball, I doubt if they win it all....

Yep.

I'll admit I'm worried about too many fly balls.
